She was born in Pietermaritzburg, KwaZulu Natal, South Africa and spent the early years of her life there before relocating to Johannesburg. Nokwazi lost interest in education at a very early age and dropped out of schooling. Her music career was initiated by Sizwe Zakho in 1996 who noticed her vocal talent and introduced her to Rebecca Malope. Nokwazi is reportedly married with four children. She is not biologically related to Heavy K as opposing public beliefs, and they’re just friends.
DJ Cleo began his career as a producer of the Unrestricted Breakfast Show hosted by DJ Fresh on YFM. Cleo found himself enjoying producing for radio and soon started exploring producing music for himself and others.
His debut recording was “Will of Steel”, which featured on DJ Glen Lewis/DJ Fresh’s “Gatecrasher double CD compilation. He remixed Bucy Rhadebe single “Uzugcin’ Impilo Yam”, originally released in 2020.
