Jabulani Hadebe (born 2 December 1983), known professionally as Sjava, is a South African singer, rapper, and actor. He began his acting career in 2005, starring in several drama series and films including uGugu no Andile (2009). He then rose to prominence on the drama series Zone 14, where he starred for three consecutive seasons. Sjava ventured into the music industry and signed to record label Ambitiouz Entertainment. Sjava’s debut album, Isina Muva (2016), introduced his experimental sound which fuses afrobeats, hip hop and contemporary R&B. His second studio album, Umqhele, was released in 2018 to a critical acclaim. Umqhele, which continues with his fusion sound, grew his African-influenced image, and consolidated to other international regions (mainly in Africa). Before Umqhele, Sjava also released his debut EP, Umphako, in 2018.
Siyabonga Nene (born 7 April 1987), known professionally as Big Zulu, is a South African rapper, songwriter and actor. He rose to spotlight after releasing the single “Donsa Nkabi” in 2016.
He signed a record deal with Universal Music in 2015 and released his debut album, Ushun Wenkabi, in 2018. The album spawned two platinum selling singles: “Vuma dlozi” and “Ama Million”. His second album, Ungqongqoshe Woongqongqoshe, was released in 2019. It contained the chart-topping single “Ama Million”, which peaked number 5 on the iTunes Chart. Following the success of his second album, he released “Mali Eningi”, which was certified double platinum by the RiSA.
